Ben’s Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

“This is per Mel’s request. This soup is dead simple to make and is quite tasty.” – Ben
I love to cook, and this is one of those no-brainer recipes that is so simple I’m sure you’ll quietly mock me for it. The end result is a easy, hot, tasty chicken noodle soup that you can customise however you desire.
Ingredients:
- Fresh BBQ Chicken (half a chicken for 2 person soup).
- Continental Chicken Noodle Soup mix pack
- 2-3 spoons of Chicken Stock (to taste)
- Pasta (your choice, the smaller the better I’ve found).
- Corn Kernels (optional)
Instructions:
- Strip your BBQ chicken of meat, breaking up chicken into small pieces. I like to throw the odd bit of BBQ chicken skin for flavour.
- Boil a pot water with approximately how much soup you want to make. Add Chicken soup mix and Chicken stock. I would tend to go a little bit more than you expect because you want to have soup once you’ve added all the yum ingredients.
- Once boiling, add pasta, chicken meat and corn.
- Allow to boil until pasta has cooked (approx 6-8 minutes).
- Taste broth and check that it isn’t too bland (add more stock if it is).
- Enjoy.
See, it really is quite simple. I’ve only recently added the Corn Kernels to the mix because I thought it was a nice addition. You could modify it however you like (make sure to comment on this post with your version!).
